Chris Edwards

Chris Edwards

Bio

From his own passion for crappie fishing and also through his nearly daily interaction with customers while serving in his longtime role as a Broken Arrow Bass Pro Shops manager, Chris Edwards stays on top of what crappie are doing and the best ways to catch them. He has tons of personal crappie fishing experience on lakes like Keystone, Eufaula, Fort Gibson and Kaw. He’s versatile in his approach, pursuing the species from boat and docks. And Chris attributes a lot of his crappie-catching success to the fact that he keeps his fishing simple and focused, with much of his knowledge coming directly from what the fish are telling him through their action in response to what he’s doing while on the water.

Gary Dollahon

Gary Dollahon

Crappie University President, Avid Crappie Fisherman

Gary and his family moved to the fishing-rich area of northeastern Oklahoma (Tulsa) over 30 years ago. Although always an avid fisherman, it was early after his move and while working at Zebco that an opportunity put him in the boat with noted crappie authority Todd Huckabee … you can guess the rest of the story. For the past 16 years, Gary’s led the product development and promotions around the Bobby Garland crappie brand, and been soaking up every tidbit of crappie “how to” information he’s been exposed to along the way. Gary loves to fish structure for the species with single pole and a jig.

Mike Taylor

Mike Taylor

Taylor Made Outdoors Fishing Guide, Avid Crappie Angler

Mike specializes in crappie outings on his home Oklahoma waters, Okmulgee Lake and Dripping Springs, two connected, yet very different, lakes that keeps him adjusting his approaches to stay on the fish. He also frequents many other lakes in the northeastern part of the state, from small to big. He’s a versatile student of crappie fishing, staying up-to-date on trying cutting-edge techniques to see how they work for his needs. He’s always happy to share what he’s learned, and he has a ton of valuable information that will no doubt benefit your catching, too.
